Background:

Three AVAR participants took part in the University of East Anglia’s ‘What the
Americans Left Behind in East Anglia’ research project led by Dr. Derwin Gregory. RAF Thorpe Abbotts was utilized by the American 100th Bombardment Group, the ‘Bloody Hundredth’ during World War II.
